Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup kefir
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup melted butter or olive oil
For Decoration:
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup melted chocolate glaze
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Fresh berries (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175degC). Cover your baking sheet with parchment paper or rub it lightly with grease for the ease of removal of your cake.
In a large mixing bowl mix together all-purpose flour baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl mix the sugar granulated and eggs Mix until smooth and smooth. Add the butter that has been melted Kefir, heavy cream as well as vanilla extract. Mix until it is well combined.
Gradually mix whipping cream to the wet mixture to add texture. mix until it is the mixture is smooth.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and mix until they are well-combined and you can see no lumps. This batter must be thick and smooth.
The cake is baked for about 25-30 minutes and then wait until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clear.
Check the baking time thoroughly to prevent overbaking. Make use of an oven thermometer to make sure the temperature is correct to ensure even baking.
After baking, take it from the oven. allow it to cool completely on the cooling rack.
